Christmas Recycling and Waste Changes
Please find below a table detailing changes to recycling and general waste collections over the Christmas period. Residents are also advised to use the ‘Find Your Collection Day’ search facility at www.brent.gov.uk/recycling to allow them to check their collection day online and download their collection calendar.

Garden waste collections take place once a month during December, January and February and calendars and collections dates are also available using the ‘Find Your Collection Day’ search facility.
The Reuse and Recycling Centre at Abbey Road will be closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
Christmas Tree Recycling
This year, we are offering an enhanced recycling service for residents. There four options available to recycle a real Christmas Tree.
- take a Christmas tree to one of the 21 locations in our Parks; (A full list is available atwww.brent.gov.uk/christmastree )
- use the garden waste service if residents are already signed up;
- include a Christmas tree when making a booking for a bulky waste collection
- or alternatively, take a tree to one of the 2 hour pop up Christmas tree collection points that will provided on Saturday 4th January and Saturday 11th of January. Exact locations and times can be found at www.brent.gov.uk/christmastree
Garden Waste Service Update
Residents can sign up for the new 2020/21 garden waste service from the beginning of January. The cost of the service will remain the same as this year; £60 for the year from April to March, £30 for half a year from October to March. Residents can visit www.brent.gov.uk/gardenwaste to sign up for the service in four easy steps.
