Cutting Trees - in Barn hill without council permission

Please remember Barnhill Area is a conservation area. Cutting trees or making any changes to the existing building, even changing windows or doors, roof covering chimneys, brickwork, front plots, extension satellite dishes etc requires pre-permission from the Council.

Recently it has been reported that 2 properties close to each other in West Hill have had trees in the back garden which were cut down without permission from the Council. Trees officer of Brent Council was made aware and now he is investing the case which could turn out the unhappy shock to the owners.

We must remember Trees form a valuable part of the Conservation area and even though they are in a garden one needs to obtain permission to hard prune or fell them.

If anybody requires assistance then please contact him. His email address is “Lawrence.Usherwood@brent.gov.uk

I am also asking essential reading of Barn Hill Conservation Area character Appraisal document on Brent Council Website.

With help of Tree officer from Brent large amount of Japanese Chery trees were planted last two years and they are blooming this  enhansing the beauty of Barnhill.
