Brent Works have been working closely with the West London Alliance to support Brent residents with the workplace opportunities at the vaccination centres opening up. We have worked closely with everyone registered, and 318 Brent Residents were screened for jobs. 185 are now either at the second/third stage (training or second interview). The opening of the vaccination centre should see many Brent residents working there.
Wembley Mass Vaccination Hub, Wembley
A simulation test event for the upcoming Mass Vaccination Hub took place this week, with staff and councillors volunteering to act as pretend patients. This allowed the NHS to validate timings and queuing calculations and also their process for administering the vaccine. It was a valuable exercise to ensure all will be well when the Hub opens on the 18 January. Thank you to all who took part.
The NHS also held an online meeting to bring the Hub to the attention of local businesses this week and this was well-received, with many providing offers of support.
