From next week, and in response to the virus situation, the council will start to move burials teams to Carpenders Park cemetery from other cemeteries in the borough. This will create a more consolidated operation at one cemetery at this period of very high demand. All other cemeteries will remain open to the public but burials at these cemeteries will be restricted to one day per week.Grounds maintenance of these other sites may be reduced for this period, though Veolia will undertake light maintenance and we will take up offers of support from local Friends groups. The additional mortuary site at Marsh Road Depot in Alperton is now operational. This provides an additional 238 spaces for bodies storage in Brent. The team are working well with Northwick Park Hospital colleagues to help us all manage the current crisis
