West London Orbital

London over ground trains
I am working on West London Orbital Railway for nearly 25 years. I am glad to say some encouraging signs are emerging and I am sharing them with you. I am reporducing article from TFL for info.
"TfL is working closely with the West London Alliance, Network Rail and west London borough partners to develop the case for the West London Orbital scheme: a new rail service on existing, underused rail lines as part of the London Overground network. The line would run from Hounslow and Kew Bridge towards Hendon and West Hampstead in the north.

In January a workshop was held between TfL, the west London boroughs, business groups, GLA and Network Rail to feedback on recent work and to discuss the next steps. Over the next six months, further work will be carried out to identify the optimum train service pattern to deliver the best benefits for the scheme at an affordable cost. The west London boroughs approved reprofiling of their funding contribution to providing up to £350k to enable this next phase of work to move forward at the West London Economic Prosperity Board on 17 February.

Discussions continue to identify the best ways of securing the funding needed to deliver the scheme which will require substantial third party funding from a range of sources including the Government."
