I am writing to let you know that, with the further easing of the Government’s lockdown restrictions coming into effect on Monday 17 May, we are issuing information to help customers make the most of the increased leisure activities that will be available including the reopening of museums, other cultural attractions and indoor dining.
A near-normal service continues across the public transport network and a wide range of active travel options are available, including Santander Cycles and protected cycling and walking routes, especially in central London and the West End. We will also be increasing the capacity of buses from Monday 17 May. With many customers already returning to the transport network since restrictions began to ease, our enhanced cleaning regime continues to ensure the network is cleaner than ever.
- Weekday off-peak and evening frequencies between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle will be reduced from 19 trains per hour (tph) to 16 tph
- Weekday off-peak and weekend frequencies between Stonebridge Park and Queen’s Park will be reduced from 9 tph to 8 tph. Frequencies between Harrow & Wealdstone and Stonebridge Park will be reduced from 6 tph to 4 tph at these times. These frequencies will continue to be supplemented by services on the London Overground, meaning there will be a combined frequency of 12 tph between Stonebridge Park and Queen’s Park and 8 tph between Harrow and Wealdstone and Stonebridge Park. The new timetable also provides more regular spacing between London Overground and Bakerloo line services
- On Sundays, service levels will be consolidated to 16 tph between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle all day (previously 15 tph in the morning, 18 tph in the afternoon)
- On Saturdays there is no change to the 20 tph core service level between Queen’s Park and Elephant & Castle
- Peak hour services on the Bakerloo line will remain unchanged, and there will be no change to the London Overground service levels on this route (although the times of some trains will change)
